Scotch College

Scotch College contracted Total Fire & Water to test the integrity of their new million dollar air driven organ, recently installed in their general assembly hall.

Management were concerned that water may have entered the compressed air system that supplied air to the organ pipes. The pipe work that supplied air from the plant room to the general assembly hall travelled underground and water had been sighted in this pipe. The effects of water in the system would have been catastrophic to the organ.

Total Fire & Water had the pipe work vacuumed and video inspection for presence of any water. We then pressure tested the 300mm supply pipe from the compressor room to the organ's main manifolds. Whilst under pressure, correlation was carried out using our latest equipment from Britain guaranteeing the pipe integrity.

The water found was contributed to not sealing ends whilst under construction. No further work was required and the new organ was commissioned with complete confidence.
